Time After Time, Jack Ciattarelli Opposed Legislation to Protect Reproductive Freedom
TRENTON, NJ – We’re covering 4 ways in 4 days that Jack Ciattarelli has proven he’s too extreme on reproductive rights and New Jersey women can’t count on him to protect their freedom.
Because when it’s come time to vote on legislation that actually protects that freedom, Ciattarelli has voted no.
Jack Ciattarelli voted repeatedly against legislation to protect reproductive freedom:
He voted against legislation to protect contraceptive access, which would have required insurance coverage for 12-month prescriptions.
Then he voted to concur with Chris Christie and make it easier for insurers to deny women birth control.
He opposed the Reproductive Freedom Act to codify a woman’s right to an abortion in New Jersey, saying he wouldn’t sign it “in a million years.”

NJ Spotlight: Ciattarelli described the Reproductive Freedom Act “as a radical agenda… but the legislation seeks to codify what is already permitted in New Jersey”
“We know Jack Ciattarelli won’t stand up for reproductive freedom because he’s had every opportunity to do so as a legislator – and every time he voted against it. As today’s decision from Trump’s Supreme Court empowers states to defund reproductive health care, reproductive freedom is once again on the line, and Jack Ciattarelli’s record of lockstep alignment with MAGA makes clear which side he’s on,” said New Jersey Democratic State Committee spokesperson Ryan Radulovacki.
