PRESS RELEASE

“That Might Work in Bedminster, It Doesn’t Work in South Jersey” – NJ Dems...

Cherry Hill Mayor David Fleisher: “Fox News referred to Jack as ‘Donald Trump for governor….’ Mikie Sherrill will work for New Jerseyans, Jack has a constituency of one.”

HADDONFIELD, NJ – Today the New Jersey Democratic State Committee was in South Jersey, continuing its statewide “Jack’s Not for Jersey” press tour focused on “100% MAGA” Jack Ciattarelli’s terrible record and commitment to putting Donald Trump before New Jersey families.

Assembly Majority Leader Lou Greenwald and Cherry Hill Mayor David Fleisher called Jack out for failing to fight Trump’s reckless tariffs, price hike bill, and lack of any commitment to bringing down energy costs.

“Mikie Sherrill is running for governor, and I'm supporting her and the mayor is supporting her, because the Congresswoman understands affordability for our residents… It's about standing up for New Jersey's rights, because when the federal budget cuts funding for Medicaid, it impacts New Jerseyans and their affordability to health care. When those Medicaid cuts come in, it affects our hospitals and our communities, it affects our number one employers. It affects your pediatrician. It affects your primary care doctor. It has direct and important impacts – when they cut funding for research to universities, it affects your children's college tuition. This is very much about fighting for New Jersey's rights and New Jersey's affordability,” said Assembly Majority Leader Lou Greenwald.

“Fox News referred to Jack as ‘Donald Trump for governor.’ Now, while Mikie Sherrill will work for New Jerseyans, Jack has a constituency of one: Complete obedience to Donald Trump, and that is simply bad for New Jersey. Now, make no mistake, Trump's tariffs hurt every family and small business in our communities, increase costs, hurt families at the kitchen table, and burden our small businesses working to stay afloat. Whether they are restaurants, mom and pops, or businesses of all sizes, they are feeling the effects of uncertainty – which creates lack of investment, lack of hiring, all that impacts every community throughout the state… And while that might work in Bedminster, it doesn't work in South Jersey,” said Cherry Hill Mayor David Fleisher.
