<h3>U.S. Naval Academy graduate, Navy helicopter pilot, former federal prosecutor, and mother of four – Mikie Sherrill proudly serves New Jersey in Congress and is running for governor to make life easier and more affordable for Garden State families.</h3>After graduating from the Naval Academy in 1994, the first class of women eligible for combat roles on ships and aircraft, Mikie served nearly 10 years on active duty as a Sea King Helicopter pilot, leading missions throughout Europe and the Middle East. Mikie then earned a law degree and worked as a federal prosecutor in New Jersey, fighting to keep our communities safe.In 2018, Mikie flipped New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District from red to blue, marking the biggest swing of the year. A mom of four, Mikie has a record of fighting to bring down costs for families and delivering for the communities she serves, including securing funding for critical infrastructure projects like the Gateway Tunnel to improve commutes and reduce traffic congestion. As governor, Mikie will continue to stand up for New Jersey by driving down costs from housing to healthcare to utilities, defending abortion rights, fighting back against Trump’s federal overreach, and supporting essential programs like Social Security, Medicare, and our public schools.

The primary for the special election has passed The general for the special election will be held on April 16, 2026. There will be early in-person voting available April 6 through April 14, 2026. The deadline to register to vote for the general special election is March 26, 2026. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is April 9, 2026.

<h2>Regional Campaign Director&nbsp;</h2><h4>The New Jersey Democratic State Committee is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and talented Regional Campaign Director &nbsp;to help lead Mikie Sherrill and Democrats to victory&nbsp; up and down the ballot this November.&nbsp; </h4>This role will be based in New Jersey, and will require in person work.&nbsp; Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of field and constituency organizers to meet political and voter contact goals in region</li><li>Build and maintain political relationships with local leaders in your region to increase buy-in and trust in the coordinated campaign at large.</li><li>Manage resource allocation across your region; including to county party GOTV efforts to bolster the Coordinated Campaign’s direct voter contact efforts .&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain effective communication with county party leadership, local stakeholders, and down-ballot Democratic campaigns</li><li>Develop consistent and effective systems to ensure that all staff in your region are well trained, coached daily, and exceed their weekly goals.&nbsp;</li><li>Keep your team focused and motivated in a high-stress, rigorous work schedule and environment.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp; </li></ul>Preferred qualifications:<ul><li>At least 2+ cycles of campaign experience strongly preferred.</li><li>Experience managing a team of employees&nbsp;</li><li>A desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and work collaboratively to implement creative solutions.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent project management skills;&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.</li><li>Experience with VAN/Votebuilder</li><li>Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and motivated by the mission of electing Democrats in New Jersey.</li></ul>This position reports directly to the Deputy Organizing Director(s). <h2>Deputy Organizing Director </h2><h4>Summary: The New Jersey Democratic State Committee is seeking talent to help lead Mikie Sherrill and Democrats up and down the ballot to victory this November.&nbsp; </h4>The Deputy Organizing Director will play a key leadership role within the volunteer field program on the Coordinated Campaign, managing a team of Regional Campaign Directors and working alongside Deputy Political Directors to ensure field and political goals are met in regions. This position reports to the Statewide Organizing Director and will be based in New Jersey.Key Responsibilities&nbsp;<ul><li>Coach and manage a team of Regional Campaign Directors.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop strategies and systems that lead your regions to successfully meet and exceed daily, weekly, and phase organizing goals, as well as maintain data integrity.&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee and support the establishment and management of relationships with local and county-level Democratic entities and candidates, grassroots leaders, and allied organizations in assigned regions.</li><li>Assist the Statewide Organizing Director in program development and execution.</li><li>Other responsibilities as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul>Required Qualifications&nbsp;<ul><li>2+ cycles of organizing experience with staff management responsibilities, experience managing managers is preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience working in large, metric driven voter contact programs.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience managing/coordinating political relationships with state, county, and local Democratic party entities and/or allied organizations, experience working with a statewide or regional coordinated campaign preferred.</li><li>Ability to create a motivating and inclusive culture both in specific super-regions and statewide.&nbsp;</li><li>Willingness to manage a diverse team with different experiences and perspectives, and a commitment to helping them grow and succeed.&nbsp;</li><li>Must have access to a vehicle and the ability to relocate if necessary. </li></ul>This is a salaried position of $7,500 per month.
