Ciattarelli, after refusing to appear alongside Trump in 2017 and 2021: “I support [Trump’s] agenda”
TRENTON, NJ – Today Fox News’ Harris Faulkner covered the “public jabs” in the “heated NJ governor primary” on the GOP side – interviewing Jack Ciattarelli, who despite once again reaffirming his support for Donald Trump’s disastrous policies, still can’t shake the threat of Bill Spadea.
- “Two New Jersey candidates failed to capitalize on an endorsement from President Trump and lost big,” Faulkner read from a statement by right-wing radio host and gubernatorial rival Bill Spadea.
- “He can’t help himself,” Ciattarelli responded…
- …And reaffirmed (again), with regard to Trump, “I support his agenda… and he supports what it is I’m trying to do in New Jersey.”
Today’s interview comes after the New Jersey Globe reported on Monday that “Spadea says he’s not going anywhere,” after both candidates have “spent plenty of time attacking one another as insufficiently pro-Trump.” Already, Spadea has a new ad out boosting his MAGA bona fides and attacking Ciattarelli.
“Not even an endorsement from Donald Trump can put to rest this ugly, divisive primary – one that’s, even now, all about MAGA and not the issues that matter to voters. There’s a brutal slog to mend fences for whoever emerges from this, and all Jack Ciattarelli is doing is showing that he’s more focused on courting Trump than fighting for real people in New Jersey,” said New Jersey Democratic State Committee spokesperson Ryan Radulovacki.
