Regional Campaign Director
The New Jersey Democratic State Committee is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and talented Regional Campaign Director to help lead Mikie Sherrill and Democrats to victory up and down the ballot this November.
This role will be based in New Jersey, and will require in person work.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of field and constituency organizers to meet political and voter contact goals in region
Build and maintain political relationships with local leaders in your region to increase buy-in and trust in the coordinated campaign at large.
Manage resource allocation across your region; including to county party GOTV efforts to bolster the Coordinated Campaign’s direct voter contact efforts .
Maintain effective communication with county party leadership, local stakeholders, and down-ballot Democratic campaigns
Develop consistent and effective systems to ensure that all staff in your region are well trained, coached daily, and exceed their weekly goals.
Keep your team focused and motivated in a high-stress, rigorous work schedule and environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred qualifications:
At least 2+ cycles of campaign experience strongly preferred.
Experience managing a team of employees
A desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and work collaboratively to implement creative solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent project management skills;
Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience with VAN/Votebuilder
Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and motivated by the mission of electing Democrats in New Jersey.
This position reports directly to the Deputy Organizing Director(s). Schedule varies based on the needs of the campaign and will require evening, weekend and holiday work over the course of the election cycle. This position is at-will employment.
Compensation and benefits: This is a salaried position which pays $7,500 per month.
Benefits include eligibility for health benefits and dental benefits. This position’s schedule will vary. Supporter housing may be available.
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
Location: Various regional offices across New Jersey as assigned.
