Paid Field / GOTV / EV Director

Summary: The New Jersey Democratic State Committee is seeking talent to help lead Mikie Sherrill and Democrats to victory up and down the ballot this November. 

The Paid Field / GOTV / EV Director will play a key leadership role on the Coordinated Campaign, overseeing paid direct voter contact infrastructure across the state including managing multiple vendors, while also working across departments to develop and run a cohesive GOTV program statewide. 

This role will be based in New Jersey, and will require in person work. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitate RFP process for evaluating and selecting paid canvass and phone firms, and subsequently work across departments to set up accountability infrastructure with vendors and make adjustments in live-time for program

• Manage paid field vendors to meet direct voter contact goals

• Develop comprehensive GOTV plans encompassing Paid, Volunteer Field, and Constituency programs

• Create strong systems and structures that allow GOTV team members to work effectively across departments 

• Coordinate with Data, Operations and Organizing teams to ensure needed infrastructure and plan execution for GOTV is put in motion

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous cycles of Coordinated Campaign experience strongly preferred.

• A desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and work collaboratively to implement creative solutions. 

• Ability to translate the why and where to stakeholders on paid and GOTV decisions 

• Excellent communication and project management skills; 

• Ability able to manage competing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Experience collaborating across departments and navigating the political campaign landscape.

• Experience with VAN/Votebuilder

• Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and motivated by the mission of electing Democrats in New Jersey.

This position reports directly to the Coordinated Campaign Director. Schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and will require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle. This position is at-will employment. 

Compensation and benefits: This is a salaried position at $8,500 per month. Benefits include eligibility for health benefits and dental benefits. Supporter housing may also be available.
