No hard working person should be forced to choose between caring for a loved one or going to work to bring home a paycheck just to make ends meet.

This is why it is so important that Governor Phil Murphy and New Jersey Democrats passed legislation expanding paid family leave after being vetoed by a Republican Administration.

By providing workers with 12 weeks each year of paid family leave, mothers will have more time with their newborn child. Fathers will no longer me forced to exhaust their vacation or sick days to be home and support their families. And adult children will have the opportunity to be caregivers for their parents in the event they fall ill.

Providing workers with a livable wage and protecting the rights of working families makes New Jersey a leading state in the nation for pro-worker and pro-middle class reform. Please watch this video to see what families are saying about the expanded family leave program and how it will help them.
