Field and Constituency Organizers 

Summary: The New Jersey Democratic State Committee is seeking talented Field and Constituency Organizers to help lead Mikie Sherrill and Democrats to victory  up and down the ballot this November. 

This role will be based in New Jersey, and will require in person work. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Recruit, train and supervise fellows and volunteers to conduct direct voter contact.

• Coordinate volunteer events included but not limited to in person canvasses, phone banks and community meetings. 

• Utilize a number of tactics and tools to hit daily and weekly metric goals including but not limited to phone recruitment, texting, high traffic canvassing, canvassing and tabling. 

• Recruit, manage and train volunteer leaders to execute a large scale GOTV. 

• Activate key constituency leaders through direct and relational voter contact methods to effectively turn out communities ahead of November. 

• All other duties required or assigned. 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications: 

• Experience promptly responding to high volumes of calls, texts and other communications from various sources.  

• Previous campaign experience as staff or volunteer is preferred, but not required.

• Prior supervisory experience is preferred, but not required.

• Willingness to relocate, if necessary. 

• Ability able to manage competing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and motivated by the mission of electing Democrats in New Jersey.

This position reports directly to Regional Campaign Directors. Schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and will require evening, weekend and holiday  work over the course of the election cycle. This position is at-will employment. 

Compensation and Benefits: This is an exempt salaried position which is paid at the rate of $5,500 per month. Benefits include eligibility for health benefits and dental benefits. Supporter housing may be available. 

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP 

Location: Various regional offices across New Jersey (as assigned).
