The chess pieces continue to line up for a full term endorsement for John Currie as chairman of the Democratic State Committee.
Assembly Speaker-elect and Hudson County Democratic Chairman Vincent Prieto announced his backing this morning for Currie for a full term.
"I spoke to Chairman Currie Wednesday morning and told him personally that he has my support for a full term as our State Party Chairman," Prieto said in a release today.
"John and I have known each other for many years and I have great respect for his passion, determination and effectiveness as a Democratic leader whether in Passaic County or beyond.
"Chairman Currie is the right choice to lead our party forward at a time when we have a real opportunity to help elect Democrats at all levels of government who will fight for the middle class and working families."
Early today, Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop issued his support for Currie. Senate President Steve Sweeney declared his backing for Currie on Thursday.
