STATE DEMOCRATIC CHAIR ANNOUNCES NEW LEADERSHIP STAFFERS

Today, John Currie, Chairman of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee (NJDSC), announced two new staff members to lead the party organization into the 2014 election campaign cycle. Chris James was selected as the new NJDSC Executive Director while Jennifer Holdsworth was hired as Political Director.

RAISE THE WAGE FOR PANYNJ SUBCONTRACTORS, SAYS CURRIE

Today, Chairman of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee John Currie urged New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to raise the minimum wage to at least $10.10 for those New Jersey employees federally-subcontracted by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, as Governor Andrew Cuomo has done for these workers at JFK and LaGuardia airports in New York.

JOHN CURRIE REELECTED AS PARTY CHAIR

After a challenging but successful election year in 2013, the New Jersey Democratic State Committee unanimously elected John Currie to a full two-year term as Chairman. Despite a strong top-of-ticket headwind, Democrats preserved legislative majorities with strong margins of support in both the State Senate and the State Assembly, while also winning seats at the local and county levels.
