Online Community Empowers Democratic Activists
(Trenton) – Today, the New Jersey Democratic State Committee launches a new website that allows Democrats to engage with a community of like-minded political practitioners.
The website allows members to create personalized accounts or sign-in using passwords for other online platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter and take part in social media campaigns. Members are able to post local events, participate in conversations with other members of the Democratic community, and gain special access to materials.
“NJDems.org. has not only received a facelift, but it is a leaner, meaner organizing tool that effectively elevates local activists to the status of regional field directors. By launching this new website, we hope to empower New Jersey Democrats to engage in our campaign efforts, participating in a more interactive manner,” said Justin Myers, executive director for the New Jersey Democratic State Committee."
The new website, which keeps the previous URL <njdems.org>, is built on an Internet platform with depth. It will help the NJDSC to organize at a grassroots level, now and into the future, send updates targeted to a member’s community and interests and share other campaign news.
The website became live yesterday and additional content is being added regularly. More special features will be unveiled soon.
