LD23 - Christine Chen, Laura Shaw and Charles Boddy

Christine Chen for Senate

Christine Chen is campaigning to unseat State Senator Michael Doherty, who refers to climate change as "global warming hysteria" and was bottom rated by the League of Conservation Voters.

Under Doherty's watch, mothers in Warren and Hunterdon county saw an increased rate of very low-birthweight babies (under 3.3 lbs) downwind from the Portland Generating Station.

With substantial cuts to Federal Environmental Protection Agency Science Programs, state legislators are our last line of defense to ensure the state’s energy needs are met while protecting our environment, which makes flipping this State Senate seat crucial.

Christine Lui Chen is a scientist and business leader running to replace this State Senator. She stands for environmental policies that are data-driven and are in the best interest of our local communities. Christine has been a speaker at Action Together's Environmental Forum and she supports energy conservation and renewable energy projects that will establish New Jersey as a leader in solar production and clean energy job creation.

Screen_Shot_2017-07-06_at_12.25.41_AM.pngChristine has a track record of responsibly managing large budgets and creating jobs as a business leader. Previously, she was the chief operating officer of New Jersey's largest Alzheimer's and dementia residential care provider and led a team of over 500 employees across 4 states. She studied neuroscience at The Johns Hopkins University, earned a Masters from Columbia University, and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Christine and her State Assembly running mates, Laura Shaw and Charles Boddy, face a challenging campaign but with your votes, your donations, and your help engaging the communities they can prevail.
