Jill Anne LaZare for State Senate

Lawyer and advocate Jill Anne LaZare is running for the New Jersey State Senate in the 21st district to provide the independent leadership needed to make Trenton work for New Jersey middle class families again.

A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Jill LaZare was born and raised down the shore, and she and her family have called Union County home for nearly 20 years. Jill attended the New England Conservatory of Music, and received her law degree from Rutgers. In her law practice, which is located in Summit, she focuses on commercial and family matters.

Five years ago, tragedy struck the LaZare family when her daughter Brooke died from a drug overdose just three days shy of her 24th birthday. With the assistance of family and friends, Jill LaZare dedicated herself to preventing this tragedy from afflicting other New Jersey families. She was an instrumental player in the passage of the bi-partisan ‘Good Samaritan/Drug Overdose’ legislation that restructures our drug overdose laws and encourages reporting of overdoses so victims don’t end up dead.

Jill LaZare is running to bring that hard work and cooperative spirit to the New Jersey State Senate. She will be a voice for the thousands of middle class families ignored by Chris Christie and Republican leaders.
