Wisniewski Statement on President Obama's State of the Union Address (Trenton) New Jersey Democratic State Committee Chairman John Wisniewski issued the following statement regarding President Obama’s State of the Union Address: “President Obama's State of the Union address offered proposals that will help restore the health of America's middle class families who have seen stagnant wages while the rich have gotten richer. This is a critical goal if we are to keep alive the American Dream that education and hard work are all that are needed for every American to thrive. His proposal to increase manufacturing at home will build on the recent success we've had expanding exports and will create jobs for our people. His commitment to expand our energy independence will improve our environment and our security while employing our people. His plan to expand educational opportunities for students and skills training for workers will ensure we have a workforce that will secure America's future. These are investments in our people and in our country. They will produce a stronger America with expanding economic opportunities and reduce reliance on foreign imports of oil. I commend President Obama for his vision and urge all of Congress, Democrats and Republicans alike, to work with the President to achieve these goals.”
